US rating agencies Fitch and Moody’s have maintained their “AAA” rating for Germany. The credit rating agencies announced their highest possible ratings in separate releases on Friday evening, reflecting Germany’s strong financial institutions and broad economy with high added value.
It was also stated that the outlook for Germany is stable. Fitch and Moody’s hinted that they currently see no reason to question their assessment in the near future.
However, Moody’s notes that potential future growth could be hindered by a rapidly aging population by 2030. Nonetheless, all risks are outweighed by their immense economic power and competitiveness.
