12:00 – lunch.
13:30 – lava cave tour with transfer from Reykjavik, duration 3 hours.
In this adventure, we will visit a lava cave located just 30 minutes from Reykjavik. We will witness the inner workings of a volcanic eruption by walking along the paths of lava that flowed thousands of years ago. The lava cave is one of the largest in Iceland, reaching 30 meters in width and 10 meters in height. The ceiling of the lava tube has collapsed near the entrance, creating beautiful columns of light. The fantastic range of colors on the cave walls is caused by different mineral types in the rock.
This is a tour for the senses. Discover a new world, hear the whispers of the cave, and feel the forces of nature like never before. Learn something new and step out of your comfort zone. Scenes from the Hollywood film Noah starring Anthony Hopkins were filmed in this lava cave.
You will walk approximately 350 meters into the lava cave; the temperature inside is about 4 degrees Celsius, even though it may be warmer outside, and water usually drips from the ceiling when it rains or snows, so we recommend raincoats.
18:30 – dinner time.
20:30 – Northern Lights tour, duration 4 hours. The dancing Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, is truly one of the unique wonders of the world. Iceland is a leading destination for observing the Northern Lights, ideally located on the edge of the Arctic Circle, perfect for viewing this natural phenomenon.
Return to the hotel. Free time.
Day 3. The Golden Circle and snowmobile ride on the glacier, duration 10 hours.
After breakfast, departure at 8:30.
A one-day Golden Circle tour with snowmobile riding on the glacier is an exciting adventure that combines Iceland’s natural wonders with the thrill of snowmobiling. This action-packed tour takes you through Iceland’s famous Golden Circle, visiting such iconic landmarks as the stunning Geysir geothermal area, the powerful Gullfoss waterfall, and the historic Þingvellir National Park, where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet.
The highlight of this tour is the snowmobile ride on the glacier — one of Iceland’s largest and most enchanting ice caps. Upon arrival, you will receive full instructions on how to operate these powerful machines. Led by an experienced guide, the snowmobiles set off in a line for about an hour, often at high speed, following a carefully chosen route across the glacier. As you travel through the snowy landscape, you will be surrounded by breathtaking views of ice formations and Iceland’s rugged wilderness. The return journey down from the glacier will provide even more photo opportunities you won’t want to miss during this eventful day.
Return to the hotel. Dinner at 20:00. Overnight stay at the hotel. Free time.
Day 4. South Coast, Diamond Beach, and Glacier Lagoon, duration 14 hours.
After an early breakfast, departure at 8:00. Visit to the main attractions of the South Coast.
During this tour, you will travel along Iceland’s South Coast — a narrow strip of lush farmland lying between mountains, glaciers, and the endless Atlantic Ocean. The route passes through natural treasures including the iconic Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, Skaftafell National Park, and the Vatnajökull glacier, to name just a few.
Passing along the southern edge of the mighty Vatnajökull glacier, roughly halfway between Reykjavik and the Glacier Lagoon, Skaftafell National Park offers stunning views of glaciers, rivers, and endless sandy plains. Skaftafell is part of the Vatnajökull National Park, which spans 14,000 square kilometers — about 10 times the size of London. Just when you think nothing can compare to this landscape, the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon appears before your eyes and takes your breath away. Covered with icebergs in various shades of white and blue, the lagoon’s extraordinary scenery is popular among travelers, photographers, and filmmakers from around the world.
Various bird species can be seen feeding in and around the lagoon, and seals are a common sight both at the lagoon’s mouth and along the coastal beach.
Return to the hotel. Late dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel. Free time.
Day 5. After an early breakfast, departure at 8:00 to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Duration: 11 hours.
The diverse landscape has inspired visitors such as Jules Verne and the creators of Game of Thrones.
The Snæfellsnes Peninsula is an area incredibly rich in natural landmarks, culture, and history.
The peninsula is often called “Iceland in miniature,” as most of the attractions people travel to Iceland for can be found here. It features a glacier, a volcano, mountain ranges, lava caves, fishing villages, a national park, and black sand beaches that rival the beauty of similar locations elsewhere in Iceland. It is hard not to recommend traveling this part of Iceland to anyone visiting the country, as no matter your preferences as a traveler, you are almost guaranteed to find something you will love.
13:00 — stop for lunch.
In our group tour of Snæfellsnes, we offer you personal and dedicated guidance to help you fully enjoy the peninsula. The Black Church, seals at Seal Beach, amazing lava fields, mysterious waterfalls, the black basalt beach, the Lóndrangar peaks, Snæfellsjökull Glacier, and Arnarstapi harbor are just some of the interesting places you will visit with us during the tour. Return to the hotel. Late dinner. Free time. Overnight at the hotel.
